Hello everyone,Recently, we started testing REST APIs with our Commvault test environment. The tests were successful with less than 5 subclients running with the REST API. However, as soon as I increase the load to 50, 100 or 200 simultaneous subscribers, I notice that the CommServ is very slow to take the jobs into account. Subclient jobs appear 6 by 6 and it takes me 15min to handle 100jobs by the CommServ.I have done a lot of research but I have not found anything in the Commvault documentation that could lead to this anomaly.Has anyone using the REST API on their Commvault environment ever noticed this type of behavior?For information: Commserv in version 11.26.18Python script to call the REST API

Hi Community ,I want to configure my Commserver Reports to be generated over HTTPS instead of using HTTP.In Commserver IIS manager , the default configuration is http.Can any one guide how can we correctly configure reporting over HTTPS using self signed SSL certificate or CA approved SSL certificate ?

Hi, I have a question regarding metrics server package installation. Comcell to which I want to attach metrics host is on 11.24.32, but metrics package I chose is v11.25.latest because we have 5 comcells in total and 2 of them are already on sp25 and if I heard correctly - metrics should be the highest version?Install is failing to check client install requirement with CommServe. When I specify commserve host name I can see in the logs @@COMMSERVE@@ instead of the hostname that I’ve specified as well.Error: 1900  8     04/12 14:39:15 ### ### ### - Error: Failed to check client install requirement with CommServe.1900  1     04/12 14:39:15 ### ### ### - Server Error:  (Error) Given package is not a valid package [67109493]. Any idea what does this mean? Not very informative.

Hello,We have few laptop client which we wish to backup using Commvault endpoint protection. There is firewall between CV infra servers and laptop network and ports 8400 & 8403 are opened on the firewall. One way network topology has been configured with data forced to tunnel option but it is still using dynamic ports to send the traffic to CommCell components. There is no network gateway between them as it is a tiny setup.   Regards,Jaspreet

So we are using smtp journaling and the location we are journaling to continues to grow in space. I am not sure why. I have run full back up jobs on the content store mailbox, i have ran cleanup against it as well. When clean up runs it only clears out the recent emails that came. However the path smtpmailcache\mailboxes\inbox have about 140GB of mail items. Am i able to remove all those messages? My retention on that mailbox is 1 day however i have 153 folders and growing in that inbox location. Any advice would be apricated.

We are in the process of the Mediaagent hardware refresh so while procuring the hardware specifications, I am wondering is it ok to create 2 separate ddbs (one for disk library and one for cloud library) on a single hard drive?Please advice. Thank you so much.

Hello, I would like to know if Commvault now supports the backup of vSAN File Services included with vSAN 7.I did not find anything clear in the Commvault documentation.BTW, Veeam supports it by adding a powershell script in the backup job.Many thanks, Regards. 

We have a file server cluster with four nodes. Each node has a certain number of resources (drives) which can also move from one node to another. The second node had to be taken out of the cluster a few weeks ago and is now operational again. If resources move to this node, they can no longer be backed up, because the Commvault plugin does not recognize this. It only works again when I select the resource in Commvault and then perform a manual synchronization. Has anyone ever had this problem ? I also have a few screenshots attached to visualize the problem a bit.RegardsThomas

Hello guys,  I have 2 Maxdb databases configured in the same client where one of them completes sucessfully and the another one gets the following error: Details:OK ERR -24927,ERR_TOOLCHK: External backup tool not found The file '/opt/commvault/SapMaxDbAgent/in' already exists. I already remove the in, out and err files from the directory, but the error persist. Could you please helpe me fixing it?

Hello,I’ve some older data at one mount path and want to move it to different host where new storage has been already configured and it’s up and running. Is there a way to somehow merge the data from old MP into new one? So I want to move data from Host1 - “D:\MP1” to Host2 - “D:\New MP” to keep everything in single place. Simple move is enough?

Hello,I have installed Simpana 11.20 on commvault backup server srvbck (on this machine is also installed media agent which serves backup on Tape library)Also I have four virtual machines, vsa-agent (which is installed on Citrix virtualization platform) and another media agent htmmediaagent1 which serves backup virtual machines.The backup is located at the htmmediaagent1 server location.I should add more virtual machines(which are located on different virtualization platforms) for backupon the Tape library. Then another media agent would be used for backup srvbck… My question is:Do I need to have another vsa agent installed (on other virtualization) to back up virtual machines to the Tape library?Do I need to have a separate all agents installed on for each virtualization?Thank you!Best regards,Elizabeta     

Hello, I’ve just deployed Teams Backup in FR23. After the first couple of backups, I’d like to clarify the followings:Backup: What types of objects are being backed up? - Files - looks ok - Channels - looks ok - Teams - looks ok - Posts - looks ok - Wiki - looks ok - Tasks by Planner? - Shifts? Restore: - During the deployment of the Teams App, I chose the custom deployment and used my own user account to get the token. Now at the restore, I am the owner of all posts - at least within a channel restored to a different channel within the same Team. - Files look fine, although Modified By is now “SharePoint App” - Wiki looks fine - Tasks by Planner objects are not restoredThank you in advance,Zoltan

Hi guys, What is better: Full backup or synthetic full for streaming on agent-based backups for file systems? I get the point of synthetic full being better in terms that we are not using client machine’s resources, but are there any disadvantages of it?Would the normal full be saver..? If so - why?

Hello everyone, Is it possible to get Full Schedules via API call? i am able to get the schedules and sub tasks inside the schedule but i could not find a way to differentiate schedules from Full, vs Incremental vs Full Synthetic?  Granted Full Synthetic has a display name so it lets you differentiate from Full and incremental but Full backup and incremental does not have any name in schedules.is there any other property that i can key off?       Thank you!
