HiI noticed in the documentation a note about the lack of Commvault support for Table level restores.https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/20248_configuring_oracle_subclients_for_table_level_restores.html “If you use Oracle 12c or a more recent version, you can only use this procedure for databases that are not Container Databases (CDB). To restore tables in Container Databases, you must use the RMAN command line.” Are there any plans to support this via the GUI going forwards? Container Databases have been a feature in oracle for over a decade now.   

I try in Python 3.11.5 with Cvpysdk v11.38 ( or 11.34 before ) to create a ClientGroup with some rules in it .But when I run it I can see the new Client Group , the new rules added but  strangely the value of the rule … associated Storage Policy has another value and thus the result , all associated clients to this new client group, is not correct.It’s very difficult to find any help ?Even Brave A.I returns me some faulty samples or probably some old python and cvpysdk samples.Thanks in advance,Patrick

We just noticed MR68 was pulled back and we are running this version and we think based on our monitoring stats that we are impacted. I would have expected a more pro-active solution towards customers. I'm also curious what customers can do who think they are being impacted now as MR68 was the latest maintenance release that is publicly available.

Hello Community I hope someone can help?  I need to test a new VPN line our network department have activated to send data from our on prem media agent up to cloud storage for infinite copies.  Unfortunately our month end jobs are not on a schedule and copy data up, as and when it comes in.  Is there a way to copy data (jobs) from one copy to the month end copy then run an aux copy on demand so i can test the routing of this traffic? Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. thanksTonyQ

Good day all I have a customer who is using Xtrabackup as the option to backup/recover MySQL DB’s. The source version is V8.0.29-21 and he’s restoring to a client with V8.0.33-25.In the restore process, we see an error that says that ‘there is nothing to restore - subclient(s) not backed up.The subclient is backed up, so was wondering if this is due to the different versions of MySQL in the job configuration?

HiWe have configured out DDB to spread across 4 Windows virtual machines. Out of 4 VMs we have lost access to 2 VMs. Backups are running as expected by using the remaining 2 VMs with DDB on that.Now we have freshly built new 2 VMs with Media Agent application components installed.My question is, how we can recover the DDB fragments which hosted on two lost VMs ? Is there a way to reconstruct the lost sections on to newly built 2 VMs ?We are on version 11.28.(2022 E).Appreciate your advise. Please feel free to ask any questions if you need further clarifications.Many thanks in advance.

media agent unresponsive during NDMP job start and later job failed with media agent not availble error. Diskliberary is also attached to this media server with internal drives. Our media agent is unresponsive on putty/ping whenever NDMP job schedule runs. and due to this we got media libready offline/online messages and later Jobs failed.After job failed/suspension , media server behave normally and runs other backup job smoothly like exchange/vcenter etc.  This NDMP job was running fine since many months daily but issue started from last two weeks. 

Greetings, we would like to keep a copy of a couple servers past our default local retention period. How do I go about doing that in the CommCell Console?

We are experiencing a behavior only in some full jobs of a particular schedule, this happens in protected objects, the error messages are Remote I/O error, what we have detected is that the next incremental backup takes the objects that marked error in the full backup, we have moved the schedule backups but the failure continues, the backups are directed to disk libraries, has anyone had this behavior that can help us solve it.

Hello All, I working with API connection. I would like to receive where is located VM backup JOB by API. I can get job ID for VM, but I can’t received which copy store that data from storage policy. Good question how I can get it? 

 Just abit baffled by how to create backup plan for vm groups called domain controllers . we need to have daily backup with retention period of 35 days and also vm group of same machines run every month with retention of 365 days . i created daily incremental backup Plan  as well as monthly incremental plan , but dont know how add the vm group to both or is there any other way . Hi Community,our customer use IntelliSnap Backup for the Sybase Databases. Now the customer has told me that the full backups are not logged in the DBA Cockpit.Only the Log backups. I assume this is because a classic streaming backup is performed for the log backup.Is the following backup copy required here so that the full backup is also entered in the DBA Cockpit?https://documentation.commvault.com/2024e/expert/sybase_intellisnap_backup_copy_operation_overview.html#dump-

Hi All, there was an option in the cloud.comvmault.com webconsole portal to use the staging feature. The DR Backup was uploaded and than an cs with restored db was created. An link with login credentials was provided. Now over the command center i dont see this option any more. Is it gone ? thanks for help

Good afternoonI would like to ask you a question, we are with Commvault recently and we have configured Webhook, so that through the service we generate incidents for problems with backups, with the circumstance that has lost the webhook connection on a couple of occasions, and we do not realize the situation until we check it manually.Is there any way to configure an e-mail alert to warn that Webhook has lost communication?Thanks in advance for your time, and replies 

Hello.Is this a valid configuration in a non dedup scenarioLibrary with two pathsMedia agent A on-prem with a disk pathMedia agent B cloud with a disk pathNone of the media agents can reach each other.The clients using a storage policy with the above library is configured to override the default path and use an explicit path that is within their zones, for on prem clients they use Media Agent A and clients in the cloud use media agent B.We are in the midst of a migration and the above would reduce the number of stg policies created.//Henke 

If we enable tiering on a cloud library that lready exists with data in it, is it only new data (writes) that get’s tiered or is the whole path re-arranged?//Henke
