Hi,

I will be very appreciate for help.

I would like to run automatic virtual machine backups tests. Could I ask for an instruction where this functionality will be configured?

Thank you in advance!

Hi @kszaf

Can you explain what you are trying to achieve please?

What would be the difference between a Production & Test?

Under the same Hypervisor Client, you can create a new Test Backupset, configure Default or more Subclients and finally configure the schedule(s).

Let us know

Hi @Sebastien Merluzzi thanks for your time and help!

By tests of copies, I mean testing the correctness of performed backups. For example: I would like to run a backup restore to the test environment once a month to check if the backup works (virtual machine backups). I would like to do this automatically. If there is such a functionality in the program that it periodically restores the backup, starts it to check it, and then deletes it, please let me know where it is done.

Hi @kszaf ,

We do have “Application Validation” in the Command Center which can be used to validate streaming backups of VMware guest virtual machines, including VMs that run applications.

See a link to the feature’s documentation here:

Best Regards,
Michael
