Hey guys,

We want to know if its possible to backup/restore a Paas Oracle Database instance on Commvault. We are reading the documentation and found this about Configuring Connectivity to the <CommServe> Computer Using a Network Gateway. Are we in the correct path to do this?

https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/100715_getting_started_with_oracle_paas.html

Tks!

Hi @Raí Garcia

Yes, we support backup / restore of oracle pass databases

https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/100700_oracle_paas.html

You can use the Commvault software to perform backup operations on Oracle PaaS database instances.

Commvault provides a single interface that you can use to manage the instances that are part of your Oracle PaaS infrastructure. This includes databases created in Oracle Cloud in the compute node, Oracle DB Systems (DBS) databases, and Exadata databases.

Hello @Gowri Shankar, tks for the reply.

We just have access to a PAAS database on OCI(Oracle Cloud Infraestructure),

We don't have access to the OS, only the database instance. In this case, what would be the way to execute this backup using the commvault?

Tks again.
