Does stopping the IIS service not affect the backup?

 

It's been pointed out as a security vulnerability

or

Hi Chris,

IIS must be enabled on the systems where you have installed the Web Server.

Stopping IIS services will stop the Web Server which will impact Command Center and Web Console site to load and will be no impact on other operations.

But to add here looking at the snippet you shared it’s about IIS default site which comes by default with IIS installation and bind with TCP port 82.

This is not related to Commvault site and you can keep the site stopped or change the port.

Exactly just stop the default website, change the port or block access to the port.
