Commvault - pruner media agent not found

Question

Hi,

I have a question about job DDB Space Reclamation.

So on job i have :

The Error means that we must switch microprunig:

Error Code: [80:273]
Description: Pruner media agent not found to run Defrag phase on DDB, Please configure pruner media agent using mount path properties

but we dont want switch microprunig due to potentially higher costs.

Can we get around this problem?

I will be very appreciate for help.

I would suggest creating a Media Agent in the cloud and let that MA handle the micropruning/reclamation. Should remove egress charges (which are likely more expensive than the cost of the cloud MA).

@kszaf, is this a cloud library, and that’s why you are concerned about costs (ie egress charges)? If so, why not stand up an MA in the cloud?If not, let me know what you mean by the higher costs.
