Hello,

I need to change the local path to network path.

1 ) Can I modify the path directly, or should I verify somethings before the modifications ?

2 )Should I put the path like this

Z:\Share\CS_DR

or

\\server01\Share\CS_DR

Thanks !

Hi @Bloopa

It is recommended to use a network share on another machine as disaster recovery backup export destination.

Configuring a Local Drive or Network Share as the Export Destination for Disaster Recovery (DR) Backups

It is best to use a UNC path and provide relevant credentials to connect and write to the share.

Please note the user account provided must also have read/write permissions to the Log Files folder.

When you configure the DR backup export destination share, it is expected that the folder will be empty, so please ensure you specify a folder with no contents.

Thanks,

Stuart

Hi Bloopa,

When setting the DR location we advise a network location that is separate to the commserve with an account that only has access to that location.

It is best to use “\\server01\Share\CS_DR”.

You can modify the path directly, I would always test the path and credentials in windows first to confirm it works you can create and delete.
