Hi @Atulk

Thanks for the question and welcome to the Community!

Just to check: are you using Commcell Console classic reports or Web Console / Command Center web based reports?

The Commcell Console reports should output in CSV format using commas as separators:

https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/59625_output_tab_options_for_reports_in_report_selection_dialog_box.html

Text: Generates and/or saves the report in text format.

  • Text Delimiter: Generates and/or saves the report in a text format with tabs or commas. (CommCell Summary, CommCell Readiness, Job Summary, Media Information and Vault Tracking reports only.)

Tab: Generates and/or saves the report in a text format with tabs.

Comma: Generates and/or saves the report in a text format with commas.

Web based reports from Web Console and Command Center

However, documentation is specific about which separator character is used, except CSV being Comma Separated Values would imply commas:

https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/39321_exporting_and_saving_reports_on_web_console.html

You can export reports from Web Console and open or save them in CSV, HTML, and PDF formats.

If you need to view or process more than 10,000 rows of data, use CSV format. The CSV format has practically no row limit, while the PDF format and the HTML format cannot display more than 10,000 rows. Therefore, any report that you export to HTML or PDF format is limited to 10,000 rows of data.

  1. Log on to the Web Console, and then click Reports.

    The Reports page appears.

  2. Click a report.

  3. At the top of the page, select the File 104476.png > Save As, and then select a file format.

A copy of the report is downloaded to your computer. The download process might take some time, depending on the size of data in your report.

  4. When the download is complete, save or open the file.

Please let me know your experiences so we can clarify this.

Thanks,

Stuart
