Good morning.  Can you please log into powbak000x and from an elevated command prompt attempt the following:

CVPing powbak002 -port 8400

CVPing powbak002 -port 8403

Once done, log into powbak002 and run the same commands replacing powbak002 with powbak000x in the command.  Please provide the results.

Both CS and MA are successfully connected.

Also after we upgraded from 11.25 to 11.26 we experience this issue, we don’t have any failed backup except on DR Backup.

@Dexter

Can you attach the commserveDR.log file from powbak001, connectivity seems fine but there may be a tunnel/network route config issue

@Matt Medvedeff

I got an error and failed on CommservDR.log. Do you have idea when to start this error to troubleshot.

Hi Team,

I disabled the Ransomware Protection on MA and able to successfully DB backup, I believed this is not advisable.

however when we enable again the Ransomware Protection but it don't enable. I attached the screenshot.

Do you have any idea on this.

@Dexter . to confirm, does that Media Agent have any attached storage configured?  Want to ensure the error is either valid or not.

Badge +2

@Mike Struening,

I confirmed our MA have a attached storage configured, we don’t have issue before on version 11.25 when we upgrade the on 11.26 got an issue on create index. I also open a ticket to support that they have DIAG on Media agent CVD refusing access to Index Cache and MA have no Library or it has access to the cloud Library.

Anyway after we disable the Ransomware Protection, backup for CommservDR is successfully completed.

We can close this thread. Thank you for your idea’s.

We have the same problem since 11.26.31. Disabling Ransomware Protection fixes the indexing problem, but after that Ransomware Protection cannot be enabled. Have also created a ticket about this.

@Dexter , @Mert Tufangil appreciate the detail.  As far as I’m concerned, this isn’t solved until EVERYTHING works 🤓

Can you share your case number @Mert Tufangil so I can track it?

Thanks!

We got a fix for the MediaAgents and the CommServe.

So far no index error and the Ransomware Protection can be activated again.

Sharing the numbers for @Dexter to reference in his support case:

1. To fix backup issues, please install the below diag on the affected media agent.

UpdateBundle_Build1108136_Form3382

2. To enable the Ransomware Protection on the media agent, please install the below diag on the CommServe

UpdateBundle_Build1108136_Form3514

@Mike Struening

We installed the following DIAG:

diag 3687 and diag 3514

No issue on index cache on MA.

We can enabled again the Ransomware Protection on MA.
