Hi Christine,

This is a common question, so we made a video tutorial on how to deploy it to support restore operations from Linux filesystems.

Check it out here: How to Deploy a File Recovery Enabler for Linux (FREL)

Let me know if you have any further questions at all.

Thanks

Hello,

The video shared on this thread points only to VMware and OpenStack. Do you have any video or guide to configure the FREL for Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager? I went through the documentation but have some doubts, to be specific on below point:

  1. Add a disk or volume with the XFS file system and create the following mount point for cache data:

    • For FBR cache: 40 GB minimum

Which mount point should we use, is it a new one with any specific configuration?

Hope you could help me, thanks in advance.

Hi @Hansel ,

There is no specific configuration:

You just need to create an independent device(disk partition or logical volume), then mount it.

For ex:  mount it to /opt/FBR and then add "dFBRDIR /opt/FBR" in Session reg key.

Best Regards,

Sebastien
