Hi, I have a Hyperscale setup with Mount Path Reserve Space set to 6144GB. I’m guessing this is set by default and you should avoid changing this. In this setup we have typically statis data and we are close to the limit, passing it during weekends and then getting back some space after Data Aging. The system will also have less data to protect in the future as backups will be re-routed to a new Hyperscale.I’m wondering if the Reserved Space could be carefully lowered and what the risk will be. I also noted if I right click the Hyperscale Mount Path I have the option “Release Reservation”, what does that do? I have not found it in docs. Regards, /Patrik
Hi there!I would like to get familiare with Commvault Endpoint Protection solution, however I am not pretty sure, how to access it.Is the Commvault Endpoint Protection a part of Backup and Recovery solution? If I download Commvault Complete™ Data Protection trial version, will I be able to test Endpoint Protection as a part of it as well?Any advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
Hi CV!I have an Azure SQL Database backup failing with the below errors in the Job Details: Error Code: [30:414] Description: Failed to export Azure database [AzureDbName] to Azure storage. Please look at the SQLiDA log for more details. Source: AzureSQLProxyCilent, Process: SQLiDA Checking the SQLiDA.log I can see that the database copy operation in the SQL Instance is succeeding, however exporting the BACPAC to the Azure Storage account configured in the agent properties is failing with the below error: The storage account cannot be accessed. Please check the storage account name and key and try again. SQLiDA.log shows errors trying to access the storage account. 10332 4 10/27 20:00:25 412305 ### CvAzureSQL.AzureSQL.LoggerDebug - Starting to copy from db [AzureDbName] to copied db [cv_copy_1603854025346_AzureDbName] in server [SQLAZUREVM]. 10332 4 10/27 20:01:47 412305 ### CvAzureSQL.AzureSQL.LoggerDebug - Finished copying from db [AzureDbName] to copied db [cv_copy_1603854
I’m seeing really poor performance for a SQL Server database with a large FILESTREAM. The backup starts out quite fast and then quickly falls back to a much lower throughput. Checking the status tab of the backup operation, I can see that other databases on the same server are backing up quite fast in comparison to the FILESTREAM database.
Not sure why my restore is failing. I’m trying to restore data from Exchange Mailbox (Classic) agent to another client but the job fails with the below message: Description: Cannot start restore program on host [DSTCLIENT.domain.com*DSTCLIENT*8400] - a network error occurred or the product's services are not running. Source: MA, Process: fsIndexedRestore Please help!
Hello Team,I continue the commserve Active/standby installation on my lab, before testing failover, I am checking step by step with the commvault procedurehttps://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=102845.htmThe log shipping seems to work well now.I have verified the status on each commserve (process manager/failover)screenshots are not really the same as the procedure but here is what I seeOn the Production Node, the Last Sync Time is Not applicableIt seems to be ok right ?Thank you !commserve prod cs01 commserve standby cs02
Yes the thread has been super helpful for me. Cant thank eveyone enough for everyone sharing the commvault knowledge. This question - Im not sure if its a AWS question or commvault. We wanted to add a AWS S3 bucket as our Storage Cloud library. In doing so we kept on getting “access denied” when attempting to add the aws s3. The way we were finally able to add our S3 bucket to our commvault commserve environment as a cloud library was to DISABLE the AWS S3 bucket encryption option. We used the AWS IAM ROLE Policy to add the S3 bucket. Does anyone know why we cant have the encryption on the AWS s3 bucket enabled. I feel like we should have the encytpion enabled but of course it didnt work when adding the S3. Thanks again - BC
