LTO - Inventory to new Commserve

Hello Community,

I have many LTO that contain backups from another commcell (Commcell A). I want to add the jobs of these LTOs in the commserve database (Commcell B).

So Commserve know the jobs and can restore in the Commcell B. Next, software encryption is enable on LTO Copy in Commcell A.

Is it possible and how ?

Hello,

How you do this is going to depend on your situation with ‘Commcell A’ and its clients…

‘Catalog and merge’ is an option however is limited on supported agents → https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/11988_recovering_aged_data_overview.html

Ideally you would use CommCell Migration - please check for the appropriate use case and if what you’re trying to do is supported → https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/5085_use_cases_and_operations_for_commcell_migration.html
