Not sure why my restore is failing.  I’m trying to restore data from Exchange Mailbox (Classic) agent to another client but the job fails with the below message:

Description: Cannot start restore program on host [DSTCLIENT.domain.com*DSTCLIENT*8400] - a network error occurred or the product's services are not running. Source: MA, Process: fsIndexedRestore

Please help!

Looking at the error details, it looks like there is no software installed (or not configured )on the client.  Ensure that the Exchange Mailbox (Classic) agent has been added to the destination client.

If this is an attempt to restore to PST, ensure that an account with local administrator privileges is added to the agent configuration and resume the job.

If this is a restore back into Exchange, ensure the rest of the details on the agent properties are completed as per the requirements in BOL.

Outlook is required for all restore types from this agent. Please ensure that Outlook is installed as per specifications on BOL.

Once that’s all configured and confirmed, your restore should work.
