Nutanix AHV unable to view or list the VMs

Hello, 

im trying to configure Nutanix appliance 

i have entered the prism ip

port 9440 is accessible from the access node 

the readiness is ready.

but when i cannot browse the vms in the vms tab, when i switch to the containers and expand i can see the vms.

when i select a vm from a container and try to perform a backup it pop up an error that vm is not found or subclient is empty 

 

attached the vsbkp log from access node 

contains the error below

Please review documentation below and confirm ports are open. https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=3338.htm Also please make sure you are using the cluster IP and not the prism IP.

i have tried to use the cluster IP and the user account has the cluster admin previliges.

ports 9440, 2074 are enable from the vsa to the cluster vip and the cvm ips of the hosts 

however, i’m still having the below error

Hi @Muhammad Abdullah,

Looking through some previous cases with this error/logging - they were all resolved by fixing the login credentials. It looks from the logs that you have the correct cluster IP, but the API is rejecting the login.

In one case, a simple password reset on the admin account for the Nutanix cluster was able to refresh the cluster and the login worked. I would try either creating a new admin account for backup purposes or changing the password for the admin account and trying again. It seems almost like the login has become stale on the nutanix side for some reason.

Issue resolved. 

there’s an issue with the domain user to communicate with the Nutanix APIs 

we had to create a didcated nutanix local user with cluster admin permission and the issue was resolved.
