O365 Access Node vm: Can it concurrently perform the Index Server role as well ?

Team, I’m trying to maximize resources for O365 data protection. Can the Index Server role be added to an Azure vm that is performing the Access Node role ? CI is being used and I am aware I may need to scale up the vm resources. The data is being protected by an on-prem library and aux copied to an S3 library.

Yes the O365 access node can be used as the Index Server.  While not recommended, it can be done.

This worked. Customer environment is small.

@mzator This is not a problem.

The only concern is making sure the server meets the specs required.

Having an under provisioned index server can potentially lead to various issues.
