Hi All,

an short question.

We have running an oracle instance on windows. The instance is running under user domain\x and the backup is running under domain\y user accounts.

In the reports we get the message:

Full access permissions not found for User [papstar\ora-home] on registry [SOFTWARE\CommVault Systems\Galaxy\Instance001]]. Please address these access rights.ll access permissions not found for User [domain\x] on registry [SOFTWARE\CommVault Systems\Galaxy\Instance001]]. Please address these access rights.

Is it correct that the user which runs the instance needs rights on this path ?

Hi @SSchmidt

That’s correct. The user which runs the Oracle instance needs rights on the Commvault paths. This is because during backup job, Oracle starts the backup processes as Oracle instance user.

Thanks,

Sunil-
