Hi Team,

What kind of information do CacheDB and ResourceMgrDB DBs store, what are their duties?

It is stated in the BOL below that it is non-critical, but it does not say what kind of information they store.

@0ber0n , I believe they store temporary date for Index restores/browses as well as current/temp job resource allocation data.

Let me try and confirm.

@0ber0n,

I have reached out about the ResourceMgrDB.  What I found for CacheDB.

CacheDB

This DB contains tables for caching temporary data (which may not need DR and can be volatile and reconstructed). Currently, global entity search from admin console has tables in the DB.

ResourceMgrDB is designed for resource management related transient information. It is not critical and can be reconstructed.
