I”m using a Plan to configure backup policies, etc.

I would like to disable the option to do T-Log backups in particular associate. I’ve not been able to do this within the Plan.

However, I’d prefer to use a Plan setting to Remove single client this. Am I missing something?

@Neeraj Gautam , good question and welcome to our community!

I’ll find out if this is currently possible.  All I’m seeing if adjusting the frequency:

https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/essential/87461_modifying_server_plan.html

Database options

To modify the RPO frequency, full backup frequency, or enable disk cache for log backups, do the following:

  • For Log backup RPO, specify how often to run log backups.

  • For Full backup frequency, specify how often to run full backups.

  • To automatically back up the database logs to the MediaAgent cache, do the following:

    1. Move the Use disk cache for log backups toggle key to the right.

    2. For Commit every, enter how often to commit the logs to the CommServe computer.

      Disk caching of database logs applies to the following databases: Informix, Microsoft SQL Server on Windows, Oracle, Oracle RAC, and SAP HANA.

@Neeraj Gautam

Can I ask the reason to not run log backups? Are they running native log backups?

Currently there is no way with Database RPO to just ‘disable’ the log frequency.

We have a CMR to add this ability CMR 284537
