I would like to disscus how to get rid of too much storage policies. So, if I want to join two storage policies into one, I will just move the sublient to the second storage policy? And the old storage policy can be marked as hidden? Is there no other pitfall?

Nope, this is indeed how you can phaseout storage policies.

Just keep an eye on the older backups using the Data Retention forecast and Compliance Report and ensure that they age off in due time.
Remember to set retention for the old Storage Policy to 0, or data will be retained by Basic cycles rule
