Web Console Report for Selective Year Copies

Badge +4

Hey all,

I have a question are there reports that show me the current year backups.

Preferably the report shows where they are backed up and how they are backed up.

@Base64 the standard job summary report should be sufficient?

https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/essential/38065_backup_job_summary_report_web_overview.html

“This report displays information about all backup jobs completed for the entities that you specify, in the time period that you specify.”

The only issue is we by default will not retain job history longer than 365 days - you can modify this setting but obviously the more data we retain, the larger the CSDB will get.

Thanks,

Chris

Hey all,

the point which we focus here is thefollowing:

When we do an healthcheck or an lookup for enviroments there is one part checking if the monthly and yearly backups are done to tape.

So the first point could be to check if all clients which are running backups did they selected for selective copy.

After that we have to check if the Backups are copied to the selective copy. Yes we can check the fallen behind report but we whant to check backwards if the jobs are all copied.

Thte point behind is some customers are only exporting the selective copy tapes and the sync tapes are inside of the library. in Case of DR they only had the backups in the sel copy.
