How to restore PostgreSQL Cluster from FSBasedBackupSet

Hello,We are running commvault 11.28.52 and currently testing the PostgtreSQL Agent. In our testing environment, we have two PostgreSQL 12 Servers running as a cluster with one Primary active server and one standby server. The servers are Linux-based VMs.We are performing backups and restores from the primary server. However, every time we restore the DB from the FSBasedBackupSet, the replication between the nodes stops working. What are the Best Practices for FsBased cluster restore and how to perform restore correctly from this backupset?

how to pickup a specific backup job via REST / PowerShell for Backup Copy

Hello everyone,I am currently facing a problem:Backup for a large CIFS volume (> 50 TB! on NetApp) should run as follows:1. backup as incremental via SnapShot on productive filer several times a day2. transfer the SnapShots via snapvault to a backup NetApp via snapvault (aux copy)so far no problem ... then:3. backup of the last incremental SnapShot of the week from the backup Netapp to S3 (with DDB) and then synthetic full to get a new full again.-> This is possible in principle as the backup is incremental but a snapshot always contains everything. This means that only the diff of this last snapshot to the last synthetic full has to be backed up and this is only approx. 2 - 3 TB per week.4. once a quarter backup of the last (synthetic) full from S3 to tape (regulation) … no problem as well Unfortunately, Backup Copy ignores all incremental backups wif I use selection rules (even with “Apply selection rule for snap jobs” selected). I can either specify "all backups" here, but the

Question on License capacity

Hi Team,Recently we had multiple clients because of which license was over utilized to 130%. so, I disabled the clients for which backup isn’t required and now the license utilization is at 92% but I still see the below error.“The system is over the licensed capacity/usage. Data management jobs will not run.Please contact your software provider to purchase additional capacity/usage licenses.Click the link for details on how to address over-capacity or over-usage situations.”Could you please suggest if I need to worry because it says Data Management jobs will not run.

SharePoint Online API Permission incomplete

Vmware VSA backup via NBD over backup network

How I configure Vmware VSA backup via NBD over backup network? normaly I need NIC pairing between client and MediaAgent to be sure the backup trafic is travelling over backup network, but in this case the ESXi server is delivering the data, how I can do here NIC pairing, as Commvault has only the vCenter server configured?Currently we use proxy server VMs with hot-add, but we want to reduce the VM foot print.We use Vmware and Windows MAs.Commvault version is v11.32.42regards Juergen

VSA and large VMs

Hi All,I have a VM that is >2TB and we have observed both flakiness and slow performance completing backups, and in particular, restores.I have in the back of my mind the notion that CV recommends very big VMs be covered with FS agent (or intellisnap) rather than VSA but cannot find the relevant reference.The VSA best practice ref. does not cover this situation.  Can anyone help refresh my memory?Thanks

Sharepoint (v2) backup seemingly running fine, but all azure apps give permission errors.

The jobs are seemingly still running fine without any failed items.I restarted the services on the access node, also tried verifying in another browser. Maybe it could be a problem with browser cache, but no.Discovery and index timestamps are up to date.Running 11.32.23Any comments on this? What should be done? Can I trust the backup?

Creating Secondary Copies for Plans, via CommCell Console

Are there any issues with creating a Secondary Copy for a Plan via the CommCell Console, with the intent of promoting that copy to Primary?For whatever reason, the Plan isn’t correctly listed within Command Center, and as such I am concerned about causing further issues if attempting the change via Command Center. Plans are terrible.

In data aging admin job, How can I see the quantity of space free released after this job completed.  I can see on SO level in media agent, I would expect to see some information about amount of space released clicking in detail of job but nothing is showed. Is there way to get this type of granular information?

Azure agent not running after Cross-Hypervisor Restore

Hello,We are running some pre-DR tests and workflows and I have come across an issue with VMWare VM restores (Windows) to Azure.  Basically, the Azure agent does not get installed.  The server can be reached through RDP, but other extensions that require the Azure agent, won’t work.  I worked with Microsoft and they showed me how to install the agent, both online and offline.  However, looking through the documentation, Converting to Azure Resource Manager (metallic.io), I see a mention of installing Hyper-V drivers for Linux, but nothing for Windows machines.Is this normal behavior?Thank you!

Issue Incremental Backup Operation on object storage : S3

Hello, I tried to achieve incremental backup on object storage bucket s3.There is a lifecycle rules applied on this s3 bucket.The first full backup was achieved successfuly but incremental failed.It is seem to be due to lifecycle rules or not, if someone have explanation and how to fix these issue. Description: Backup failed for all files, job will not be marked as completed successfullySource: S3-***-prd, Process: CvCloudBkpi did not see anything in logs to confirm the reason why the incremental backup failed. Thanks for your help. Regards.Karim

HSX Installation fails with inappropriate ioctl for device in HPE Apollo server

Hi Team,i request you to help me with below error i observed during my 7 x Apollo server HSX installation in DC1 site. i downloaded the ISO from commvault site to my local system and transferred to DC2 windows jump server and successfully installed in DC2 site on 7 x HPE Apollo Servers .Later i transferred the ISO to DC1 jumb server and also have verified that all HW configurations in DC1 servers are as per HSX documentation, but when i start installation on HPE apollo servers, i get below error, please help !

Hi Team, I am trying to prepare a custom report in which i want to have a Dataset which should give the output in horizontal tabular format. below is the sample screenshot which should be in horizontal. Basically i want to have horizontal table for each group showing job history count in similar below format. In single report there wll be multiple table with different groups. FS Agent taking to long

Hello, I have some issue with finishing on time with FS Agent backup, the widow time is 6 hours. Till 2 weeks ago i had no probleem with scanning and then starting backup., but now the scan taking to long and then starting of backup taking to long aswell.  Here is some logs of last failed backup. The backup staerting at 2AM, the scan finished at 5AM, there is 3 hour more to take the backup and 8 am the job wil be killed because of run time.  The amount of files is not really changed

When it planned to support Proxmox hypervisor for backup?

Reason for my question is Broadcom/vmware deal. Our Customers ask if Commvault supports ProxmoxDocumentation.commvaut.com 11.34 show that PROXMOX is not supported.Research in comunity shows a two year old topic where someone asked the same question.Two year are a long time so I want to ask if and when Commvault plans to support Proxmox?Thanks in advanceJoerg
