I just want to list all servers that were backed up in the last 30 days. Preferably just the VMs. I just want o compare what is backed up vs what i download from my active VMware VCenters. Is it possible to list just the servers without  all the storage policy and schedule info in a report?

Hi All, subclient SUB1 with VM1 use storage policy P1 storage policy P1 retention 7 days 1 cycle with disk library DL1 manual execute subclient SUB1 backup on 2 Jul 2024 successful 12 Jul 2024 we check storage policy P1 > View > Jobs, unselect time range but cannot see the job history subclient SUB1 backup on 2 Jul 2024 12 Jul 2024 right click subclient SUB1 > Backup History, can see the backup job on 2 Jul 2024 check Storage Resources > Libraries > DL1 > Mount Path > View Contents, can see VM1 backup data on 2 Jul 2024 not Aged  Q1: why the storage policy P1 cannot see the the job history subclient SUB1 backup on 2 Jul 2024? Q2: since the Storage policy P1 cannot see the job history subclient SUB1 backup on 2 Jul 2024, if create aux copy and select Backup period Start and End Time 2 Jul 2024, will data copy to tape? If no, how to copy VM1 backup data on 2 Jul 2024

I have MSSQL database server. Where databases are periodically added and deleted. How can I set a backup of certain databases by mask. For example, a backup of only those databases that begin with the letter A.Initially selecting databases for backup is not suitable. It is necessary that databases that match the mask are automatically included in the backup job when they appear on the server.

I have inherited a Commvault setup running mainly on Nutanix (A little VMware) spread across 3 sites, unfortunately the 1 person that knows this setup was laid off.  I am looking for a way to identify all the Commvault infrastructure across all sites.  I think I have the server names, but not necessarily all the services installed.I am new to Commvault, still stumbling around the interface….Any pointing to docs on how, powershell scripts, ??? appreciated.Thanks Tim

Hi All, Refer subclient CvFailoverLogShipping, I try create aux copy to DR disk or tape library and it will not copy. is the “CvFailoverLogShipping” just for schedule transfer SQL DB and log for backup and restore to standby Commserve only and it did not require keep long retention or offsite? if it did not require keep long retention, because it will use disk space, could setup short retention day? e.g. 1 day, any suggestion? Best regards

I have exceeded my capacity license. I ran a license summary report and identified a number of sub clients which i could disable. After disabling backup activity at the subclient level, and after running data aging these subclients were still featuring on the license capacity report. Why are licenses not being released. In several cases i v also released license for client , and the license did not release.

Hello!  I find myself once more confused about the partner types and partner badges for Commvault, as used in https://www.commvault.com/partners/find The badges for individuals are listed in https://www.credly.com/organizations/commvault/badges, but not those for companies.  I see there Aggregator, Distributor, Managed Service Provider, and Solution provider as types of partners, and I can’t tell which does which.And the badges don’t seem very self-explanatory to me either. Service Advantage and Service Advantage Plus probably mean second level support, as contrasted to CASP? Hi All,- primary site one MA with disk library DL1 (one mount path) - DR site one MA with disk library DL2 (one mount path) - DR site MA SAS direct connect to tape library- subclient_A with 20VMs and subclient_B 30VMs use same storage policy Primary backup to disk library DL1 daily 7PM- aux copy from Primary backup to Second backup disk library DL2- aux copy from Second backup to tape Q1. since the tape backup from single source DR site MA, the multiplexing factor default 5, may we know the actual factor is 1 when backup to tape? Q2. any benefit if change multiplexing factor from 5 to 10?Best regards
