I run the backup gateway on my Windows to backup a remote VMware virtual machine.

Hello Team, We are configuring Exchange 2019 DB backup, while running backup it's showing an VSS related errors.The exchange DAG is configured IP less and without DNS feature. While adding DAG client in commcell is successfully added and discover DB also with out any issue. We checked DAG client check readiness, its showing communication error. Please advise any specific configuration needed for DAG IP less feature.

Hi, we are looking for more information about the Outlook Addin.Is there a site, that list the current (and maybe previous) Versions?Also some patchnotes and/or compatibility information would be nice to read.Currently, the only reliable way to get the Version/Buildnumber is to download the software from https://documentation.commvault.com/11.26/expert/29115_outlook_add_in_packages.html Un-Zip the Exe-File and take a look into the CvInstaller.ini to find more information and the build number. Btw. did you know, that the Exe-File on the MA-Portal is from 2019, the file from the docs.commvault.com is from 2022?

hope everyone if good  i have a very strange issue while installing the client in server it get failed to download binaries from package commvault file system core i have also the log attached herewith. please help to get out of this i have done this ot backup my core server. but unable to install client.

Are there specific considerations or best practices for this setup? What are the implications of implementing a PROXY in this configuration? What are the requirements for configuring a PROXY? Can any one from legacy can describe about CommVault history. What could be the major version boom the market to place in top Data Protection Tool.  Version <8 → Galaxy Version 8 & 9 →  Simpana Version 10 & 11 →  CommVaultCan give more details about Commvault historical information when these changes happened. (If any above wrong correct it please).

I have been running backups for a week or so now, and just started reviewing the Job Histories. Looking at one of my clients, I can see that the Incremental is the same size as the Full was when it ran, which doesn’t make any sense?

Hello everyone.From the process manager you can see that all the services are active, only the Commvault Tomcat Service has not started. I can't start it from the Process Manager and neither manually from Windows Services. Is it possible to back up In-Place Archiving of 365? I have an organization that uses In-Place Archiving for users and folders are not backed up, is it possible to change this/back up in a certain way? 

Hi, Is there any way to convert a virtual machine to a physical machine with CommVault?I was thinking about using 1-touch on a virtual machine. Would it let me restore that VM on a physical server? Thanks.Sergio

Hi team,Trying to undesatnd, how commvault uploads the job metadata. Came across an error “Unable to upload job metadata to the remote file cache” and the client is trying to connect to the failover commvault server. Is the metadata upload location configured automatically or we have an option to point to any specific commvault server? Thanks in advance !

Hello all,Would it be possible for Commvault to provide a script to enable CIS hardening for Windows 2019/2022?I see there is a virtual imagen of “CIS L1 Hardened Commserve 11.28 for WIndows 2019” at CommVault Store, but our customer is asking for a physical CommServe….I also see there are scripts for Windows 2016, but no scripts for windows 2019 or 2022.Please advise. Thanks in advance!Sergio

Installation of Hyper-V cluster in commvault. Agent Virtual server installed on the commserver and on the 2 hosts of the hyper-v system.The client in commvault has been created with the name of the cluster and with the 2 hosts as nodes of the virutal server Hyper-VNow the problem is that I see only the first host in the browse of the subclient. And all the VMs of this host. Can you assist me? If I select only the second host as node, I can see all VMs from this host, so I presume that’s not a permissions issue.  

Hi, We are trying to restore a backup job from SharePoint Online, and we have successfully managed to run the backup job. However, we encounter the following error when attempting to restore. [Error decrypting password] We have tried restoring back to SharePoint Online, to the proxy server, and to a SharePoint on-premises SE server. Unfortunately, we receive the same error message regardless of where we try to restore to.Does anyone have any tips or suggestions? Thanks!
