According to the documentation, “The mount path label file is required for the pruning of aged data in the mount path”.

Is the DEVICE_LABEL file the mount path label file?

Do I need one to every mount path to prune aged data? Some of our Mount Paths don’t have one. 

 

Does it apply to Mount Paths secured by CommVault Ransomware Protection? 

 

 

 

 

Hello @Eduardo Braga,

The DEVICE_LABEL file is not the same thing as the MOUNTPATH_LABEL.I would suggest leaving it but with that said it should not be necessary on all mount paths. If you are having some kind of pruning issue let us know and we can assist.
