Hi @jaleef

I would comission the new index server and access node, add them to the existing mailbox agent client, then decommission the older ones.

Please make sure you’ve done a backup of the index server before you make changes: https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/29036_backing_up_index_server.html

Here are instructions on adding a new index server:
https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/essential/131954_creating_index_server.html
https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/essential/132052_adding_node_to_index_server.html

You then need to follow these steps:

Here are the steps to creating an access node:
https://documentation.commvault.com/2022e/expert/115349_installing_exchange_agents_on_client_computer_windows.html

Refer to the index server and access node requirements here:

Let me know if any questions.

Chris

@Chris Hollis  hello chris , thanks for the responds ,

what if i add the new node in the existing index server along with the old index server and then later i change the old node from it ,

will that work? will the new node able reconstruct all the index

@jaleef That would not be the best as you can not easily remove a node.

Following Chris steps to create new index server with the new node changing the index server and allow index playback to run on the new server.
