Hello everyone, We are running Commvault 11.28.72.Now we want to upgrade to 2023E. I'm trying to download the software via Commcell Console:Tools tab, Add/Remove Software > Download SoftwareThe download starts and then changes to pending with the following error: If I try to download 11.30 the same thing happens.When I upgraded the commcell console from 11.24 to 11.28 it al worked great.Anyone an idea of what to do?

Hello!Having just upgraded to 2024E, specifically 11.36.41, I notice the Active Directory agent now supports backups for GPO as documented here - Great. Changes in Commvault Platform Release 2024EHowever, the permissions required are not particularly helpful: Permissions to Back Up Group Policy Objects via PowerShell: The account must have the necessary permissions to back up GPOs using PowerShell cmdlets. By default, members of the Remote Management Users group possess these permissions. My question is, if you don’t want the account to be a member of “Remote Management Users” or admin groups, what granular permissions can be set on the account to still achieve the backup? full error:-----Currently whilst the backup is completing for AD as it always has, its now completing but with error “Failed to process group policy object”.Error Code: [28:548]Description: Failed to process group policy object. Do we need to update clients' agents when we upgrade Commcell? Will it continue to take backup without updating? Is it a problem?

download and does not allow me to download 11.36.x directlyit allow me onlt 11.32.x or 11.34.x do I need to upgrade to 11.34 firstly and then 11.36 or am I missing something?

We are looking to upgrade our environment from 11.32 to 11.40 LTS. Was wondering if anyone out there has been through an upgrade to 11.40 and how it went. Thanks for the input.

Morning folks,I can see that 2023E has been released (Commvault Platform Release 2023E)According to the document versions suffixed with E are LTS versions however 2023E is listed as a “Technology preview” on ma.commvault.comAm I safe to upgrade to 2023E? Is this a Long Term Support (LTS) version??

Hello,for planning my own roadmap, I need to know when backup&recovery of MongoDB clients on version 8.0 are going to be supported. Until now only version 7.0 can be found on documentation and version 6 is going to be out of support middle of 2025. When and for which Commvault Platform Release will MongoDB 8.0 be released? Regards

Is it no longer necessary to create Exchange Recovery Points for Exchange Online or might this be a bug?

Currently I am on Commvault version 11.28 with SQL Server 2014 and Windows Servers 2016.Will there be any issues with upgrading it to Commvault version 11.32?

HelloWe just applied the latest maintenance patch to our 11.32. Hello,  We plan to perform a CommServe hardware refresh from Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2019. Commserve is on Feature Release 28, and the SQL server version is 2012. What is the upgrade path for the Commserve with SQL running in 2012? Do we need to first upgrade the SQL to 2014/2016 and then perform the Hardware refresh? Or is it possible to perform a hardware refresh without upgrading the SQL? Hello fellow Commvault users,I have a question regarding the upgrade of Commvault from v10 to v11 while also migrating from Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2016. I am seeking to determine the best course of action for this process.Option 1:Start by formatting the server and upgrading it to Windows Server 2016. Perform a Disaster Recovery to restore Commvault v10 after the OS upgrade. Finally, proceed with the upgrade to Commvault v11.Option 2:First, update Commvault v10 to v11 while the server is still running on Windows Server 2012. Once the Commvault upgrade is complete, format the server and update it to Windows Server 2016. After the OS migration, recover Commvault using the Disaster Recovery process.I would greatly appreciate your input and feedback on which option you believe is the most efficient and reliable for upgrading Commvault and migrating the OS. Hi FellowsAfter reboot, installation continue but failed, because the language cannot find find the source DVD ???If I start the installation (from program files\CommVault\installer… the only option I’ve got is “Download packages to install on a different computer”I’ve tried to install CommCell on this computer (Win2019).I’ve tried also to install IIS before...same Any suggestion ?ThanksJasmin
