Hello,

Question 1 :

I have a gridstor  composed of 2 mediaAgents MA1 and MA2

one GDP and 2 partitions.

This gridstor point the a S3 bucket name CVbucket01

I want to create another gridstor with 2 other mediaAgents MA11 MA22

one GDP partitions and 2 partitions.

is it possible to point the the same bucket CVbucket01 or is it mandatory to create another bucket

Question 2 :

When we installed the first gridstor, we selected 2 partitions for DDB. Can I add other media agent and how to increase the partitions ? I know that the limit is 4 nodes per gridstor is it correct ?

Thanks to all for your help

@Bloopa , for question 1 are you looking to do failover or round robin gridstor?

For question 2, is this an existing DDB (meaning jobs have been written for a while) or new and unused yet?  Are you seeing any performance issues or limitations?

Want to be sure we understand the end goal which will tailor the answers.

Hi @Mike Struening

Here is a paint diagram, sorry for the quality

Below the answers:

@Bloopa, for question 1 are you looking to do failover or round robin gridstor?

For the actual Gridstor we’re doing round robin and for the second I want also round robin

For question 2, is this an existing DDB (meaning jobs have been written for a while) or new and unused yet?  Are you seeing any performance issues or limitations?

The DDB is used since 1 month. actually I don’t see any performance issue.

i was just wondering if it was possible to add media agents to the exixsting gridstor if in the installation we select only two partitions :

Thanks !

@Bloopa , you can always add more Media Agents as Data Movers for round robin without needing to add more DDB partitions.

Will that satisfy your potential needs?

@Bloopa wanted to follow up to see if the above answered your concerns.

Thanks!!
