Can S3 used like a regular NFS/NAS Library?

Talking about Features like (VM)Archiving, Live Mount, Live Recovery?

Or is it also about on-premise S3 compatible storage type, like many arrays/appliances are now offering this protocol aside from the usual NFSor SMB ?

Hey @HITS !  thanks for the question.  I moved it to its own thread so it gets better visibility.

Regarding your question, few items I’m hoping you can clarify on:

What type of bucket are you thinking of creating?  S3 would be a library like any other from a backup perspective.

What are you overall concerns?  Performance?  That would rely mostly on the type of bucket, etc.  Is the VM hosted in the cloud or on prem?

Want to be sure I am addressing your root concern :nerd:
