After the disk library was moved between media agents, the search for e-mails in the history of indexed journaling stopped working. The transfer took place on 09/06/2021 and from 09/01/2021 you cannot see emails in Compilance search.

Journaling data is placed on the Data Domain and shared via CIFS to the Media Agent.

Transferring the library consisted in changing the data path to the new Media Agent (earlier media agednt named cv-ma01 changed to hp-ma01.

When indexing Content Indexing Journaling, an error message appears as below the chunks indicated in the message are on the library resource.

We have performed Data veryfication but the message below still appears

Error occurred while processing chunk [10752896] in media [V_494570], at the time of error in library [CV_DD_CP] and mount path [[hp-ma01] \\ ddcp \ cvddcp], for storage policy [SP_CP_EX_Complience] copy [] MediaAgent [hp-ma01.ap.arr.gov.pl]: Backup job [1481990]. Failed to scrape archived data. .

Hello kszaf,

Likely the new media agent can’t access the data for one reason or another. Can you ensure the following. On the new Media Agent, which I will assume is hp-ma01 from the logs, can you try to access the share \\ ddcp\cvddcp? If you cannot then the configuration from MA to Data Domain may need to be reviewed.

Thank you,

One other thing to check - If this is a indeed a new media agent, make sure that outlook is installed and that port 27000 is open towards the indexing server.

Unfortunately the error is a little generic so there are a few possibilities.

@Damian Andre thanks, so port is open - but outlook must be intsal on MA?

Yes that should be correct - We need the MAPI components from outlook to open and index the emails

Is the old Media Agent available? be interesting to check and see if outlook was there. It could be hitting a snag somewhere else but generally this is the requirement.
