Backups failing with error,  Could not connect to the DeDuplication Database process for Store Id [1]. +   unable find any KB article for the same,      can some1 suggest on this

Hello,

 

The cause of this could be multiple things, First of all check the MA is online and the DDB is online also.

Go to Storage Resourced > Deduplication Engines > Select the Dedup Copy Engine and check the Status/Reason. 

 

You can check the log of the Backup Job to find the error, Also check SIDBEngine.log on the MA at the time of the error too.
