Hello All;

I have question about add new partition to DDB. I have CV 11.20.36. I can add to one of GDP (VM, Files, DB) but thi is added to only one of this, not to whole DDB. What is ther propley way to add this partition to DDB?  I can't add the same path to more that one of this partition.

Best Regards;

From 11.22.x we allow using same path. For now create subfolders and use them for adding partition.

You should be able to move a DDB partition from one location to another.

https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=12582.htm

Note: If you enabled horizontal scaling (Which you are as per the pic shared) of deduplication databases (DDBs), the software suspends the backup operations and the auxiliary copy operations that use the DDB partition that you are moving. The backup operations and the auxiliary copy operations that use other DDBs of the storage policy copy run as usual.

I would plan a down time, suspend all jobs, get the entire activity completed and resume.
