Has anyone who has recently upgraded to MR34 (11.21.34) and using Application Aware VM backups having issues with the VSAAppAwareBackupWorkflow job Failing at “update app aware status for VM2” task?

Error messages showing

“com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Column name or number of supplied values does not match table definition.
Source: , Process: Workflow”

If you are also facing this issue have you any workaround/temporary fix?

Hey @Tom Evans !  I noted the incident number in my notes here.  Let’s see if anyone else has had a similar experience.

Hi @BastiDD , @stefano75

We’re tracking the support ticket @Tom Evans has open for this issue.

There is a SP20 fix available for this issue, hotfixes SP20-HotFix-3772 and SP20-HotFix-3773, and now a fix is also available after forward port to SP21 as SP21-HotFix-2688 and SP21-HotFix-2689.

The description provided on these SP21 hotfixes is:

Hotfix forward port for SP21 from SP20: AppAware Workflow error during updation of VM status

The SP21 hotfixes should be available in the next Maintenance Release 11.21.38 due on 4th May, but these can be provided by support separately if needed.

Thanks,

Stuart
