IHAC looking to deploy HSX RA and create bonded vlan’s has the following question. Can the data protection bonded interfaces be configured for a vlan that will work with dot1q/VLAN sub-interfaces? If yes, which topology we need to use? This will allow the interface to talk to multiple VLAN’s.

just want to clarify, when you said “When using VLANs, the parent interface (ie Bond1) cannot have an IP Address assigned. All IP addresses need to be assigned to tagged vlan” ,
it means the IP address assigned to tagged vlan interface of HSX node should be one of the IP from the IP range of VLAN/subnet , right ?

HSX fully supports 802.1q trunking for data protection traffic on top of a bonded interface using active-backup or LACP. There are three limitations to be aware of when using this:
