Can anyone also help me with this error, “Description: Unable to connect to client [Media Agent] to execute [VSAAppNotifier]. Please ensure that all iDataAgent software is properly installed. Also check network connectivity and if this product's services are running.”


All services are running well on the Media Agent, so I really don’t know what else to do about it.

Hi @zadok001,

Looks like you may have enabled application aware backups (the one where it asks for guest credentials) and communication is failing between the software deployed on the guest VMs and the Media Agent to coordinate the application backup.

If you don't need granular recovery of application object from the VSA then you can remove this open - otherwise, you’ll have to troubleshoot the network connectivity between the plugin on the VMs, virtual server agent.
