Hello,

We have very bad performance for our backup environment.  Slow running DDB’s, high Q&I etc. We found out that we have 10 times lessor IOPS for our Media Agents .  What is the procedure to increase IOPS for the existing Media agents ?

hi @Andaman

Well, I would suggest to hire a Commvault Expert to audit your architecture and find out the bottleneck.

I’m convinced you would understand that with very few information about your current environment , workload, settings and expectations, it’s nearly impossible to provide an accurate answer.

Regards,

Laurent.

@Andaman , I concur with @Laurent .  You should request a site review from Professional Services via your Account Rep.

I would also start by taking a look at your Media Agents and checking our sizing guides to make sure you have adequate hardware:

Also, make sure that any threat detection, anti-virus or other security software has the recommended Commvault Exclusions in place as these can have a detrimental effect on performance.
