Use tapes from another Commcell

Question

I have LTO 7 tapes from another Commcell that I’d like to format and use in our new Commcell. Is it possible to Format / erase these tapes and import them into the new Commcell?

@Smartoddyou should be able to format the tapes (the new CommCell won’t be able to read them anyway).If you want to do it outside of the console, use the TapeToolGui:https://documentation.commvault.com/11.24/expert/10587_tapetool_windows.htmlGreat tool to use if you have any tape issues and want to test things out.
