Hello Community,
usually we use LDAP for daily admin usage.
For security porpuse i want to use a local user for Master because i dont trust the AD.
Since i also trust exchange i would like to disable the ability to reset the local master-users Passwort via Email. Is there an additional setting to get rid of this?

I don’t have the answer to your question, but I’m curious what alternative you might suggest for password resets if we don’t use email?

Hello Scott,
in the past i’ve never hat the need to reset the password for such an important account like the master. All Backup Admins with restricted rights use the LDAP Auth.
In the last step it should be a payed feature to reset the passwort by commvault ticket but only if the wanted additional setting is set.
