Restore CS Dump to another Computer for Staging

Hello ,

I have a Commserve in production (name CS1 / IP 1)

I would to test restore a CS Dump to another machine (CS2 / IP2) in the same Network (not isolated ) in Staging mode.

I dont stop Commvault services in CS1 (its my production)

There will be a risk of conflicts if Commvault services ?? if services are UP CS1 and CS2 ?

Thanks for raising this question. I would not recommend running the DR test the way you have described and instead follow these steps:

These will take you through the steps on recovering from DR backup to the point where the DR is operational. A true test of the process.
