Does it leverage ‘versionID’ header in DELETE operations for s3 buckets’ objects?
Or the delete requests are more of non-versioned delete requests?

I am reading between the lines here - but Commvault does not work with bucket versioning. This is an excerpt from our AWS Cloud architecture guide:
In that case my assumption is we probably send non-versioned delete requests.
