As organizations continue to adopt AI and agentic technologies, many are discovering that their resilience and identity-management practices have not kept pace. To better understand where organizations stand today, Commvault co-sponsored IDC research on the current state of cyber resilience. Commvault is pleased to announce the findings in a new IDC White Paper, Resilience Operations: The Discipline that Makes Readiness Provable. The research was conducted among 539 IT and resilience decision-makers across North America (80% in the United States and 20% in Canada), with approximately 85% reporting they have experienced a cyber incident. IDC found that 90% of respondents believe they need to improve identity-management capabilities to address risks introduced by agentic AI systems. Identity management encompasses the governance of both human and non-human identities and their access to systems and data throughout their lifecycle—from creation to decommissioning. The research also found t

Join us for the first Readiverse Academy Tech Talk, a new series of technical and enablement webinars for our customers and end users.  As organizations scale cloud environments, backup performance and cost optimization become increasingly critical. Traditional approaches often struggle with inefficiencies, leading to longer backup windows, increased storage costs, and suboptimal resource utilization.  In this Tech Talk, our Commvault technical SMEs will explore how Storage Accelerator can help you overcome these challenges by improving data transfer efficiency and optimizing cloud backup performance. Join Biswanath Das, Sr. Technical Trainer, and Prasad Nara, Sr. Manager, Development, to walk through practical strategies and real-world use cases, including:How Storage Accelerator improves cloud backup speed and efficiency   Techniques to reduce cloud storage and egress costs   Best practices for optimizing backup performance in hybrid and cloud environments   Key considerations for de

Frontier AI is changing how organizations assess threat readiness, and patching cycles alone may no longer be enough to keep pace. As AI-enabled capabilities may increase the speed at which vulnerabilities are identified and exploited, resilience can no longer be treated as a fallback. It should become an operational discipline.   In this webinar, Commvault’s Vidya Shankaran, Michael Thelander and Pranay Ahlawat walk through four practical steps organizations can take now to build stronger resilience in the age of frontier AI. We'll cover why Mean Time to Clean Recovery (MTCR) may be a better resilience measure than backup schedules alone, how to run a real recovery drill before an incident forces the question, and why attackers may target recovery infrastructure early in an incident. They also tackle an emerging challenge many organizations are beginning to confront: what does it actually mean to recover an agentic AI system, and why the resilience layer should be built alongside AI d

To expand and deepen our global community, we are excited to announce the launch of local Commvault User Groups (aka the “CUG”)! The CUG will be a global network of customer- and partner-facing chapters and meet-ups where users can discuss Commvault technologies and real-world implementations with peers, build product expertise, exchange ideas and best practices, and hopefully have fun along the way. We’re organizing chapters now based on interest and local leadership or existing meet ups. Getting involved and connected is easy:Read and bookmark this page - we’ll update there with new chapters and events Request to join as a member here - this is quick and super helpful. It lets our team know where there is interest so we can aggregate, identify local leader(s), and help facilitate. If you are interested to lead or co-host a chapter, we welcome volunteers! There is a separate leader request form here. As always, drop us a reply with questions or email the CUG team: CUGcommunity@commvau

Digital sovereignty is one of the most talked-about — and least understood — concepts in enterprise IT today. Organizations face mounting pressure from regulators, boards, and customers to demonstrate control over their data, infrastructure, and supply chains. But where do you start, and how far do you need to go?Join Commvault’s Pranay Ahlawat, Alex Zinin, Jakub Lewandowski and Darren Thomson on May 27 in your region to cut through the confusion with a practical framework for building a digital sovereignty strategy that fits your organization's reality. They’ll explore the core pillars of sovereignty, why it's not a binary switch but a sliding scale of decisions, and how industry regulations and business context shape the right tradeoffs. We'll also show how Commvault and our partner ecosystem are putting these principles into practice. Click here to register for the webinar

Get an in-depth look at protecting and recovering the critical data that drives innovation and delivery. DevOps platforms like Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, and Jira house valuable source code, pipelines, work items, and metadata that form the core of an organization’s intellectual property and innovation engine. Yet protection and recovery are often overlooked or managed through native tools or homegrown scripts - approaches that can create gaps in protection, compliance, and recovery readiness.Commvault Senior Product Manager Aashray Augur and Product Marketing Manager Katharine Colucci will demo Commvault Cloud Backup & Recovery for DevOps and discuss real-world scenarios where our enterprise-grade solution can help automate protection, streamline compliance readiness, and accelerate recovery across distributed DevOps environments.Click here for details and to register.
