When backing up from Oracle RAC, Commvault selects an available server by default.Is it possible to select a specific server for backup?

Anyone else experiencing the problem with Office 365 when trying to run a restore where the options were recently changed? Exchange restore I can only restore the items to the original mailbox or I need to pick another mailbox. I no longer have the option to restore to PST file. SharePoint, I can only restore to the same site or I need to pick another site. The option to restore to disk is no longer available and the same goes for OneDrive. I don’t like the limited options now for restoring Office 365 files.
I want to upgrade from 11.28.56 to 11.32.[latest] and want to know if I can "just do it via the Java console" (just download the software update into the cache via the Java console then push/upgrade commserve/livesync commserve via the java console) It appears you can at first glance.. but after going through the docs there appears to be some indications I cannot/should not.Just wondering if anyone has done this or knows if I cannot do it via java console only. The docs are a little all over the place (the links below) and make me think I have to uninstall my commserve and MSSQL then reinstall both (from the media kit) and restore from a DR backup, then do the same to my livesync server…. all because my MSSQL DB versions are a bit out of date and out of sync.Background:I have all physical CommVault servers, so no VM snapshots possible I don't mind taking a commvault outage to do updates. On a linux RH 9.4 we are trying to configure a sybase DB. We keep getting this error and cannot find where is the error. Connectivity workd ok, FS backups of the server are working. Version of commvault is 11.36.41. Hi Guys,I need to upgrade from 11.32 to 11.36 in a live sync, what is the best way doing in full downtime without initiating maintenance failover as described in documents, so if I download and Sync cache can i upgrade active / standby commserve one by one, means first active then standby. Also, MS SQL will be updated along with from 2019 to 2022?After this I can upgrade commvault software on hyperscale-x, is there any need to upgrade hedvig or OS patches as we are currently on 2.2410 and 3.2410 (mix of RHEL and rocky)Please I am waiting for your valuable advice.Regards,AQ
Hi All, looking to get some feedback on the following scenario.Currently have 4 media agents with 2.5TB local SSD dedicated for DDB. A while back we decided to move to the cloud and thus created a new storage pool (deduplication enable) so we would only move changed blocks from primary to the cloud. The new DDB location for the cloud pool is on the same disk as the existing DDB for on-prem data. At the time, the capacity was ok and so we moved forward.Trying to make things easier to understand, I am adding the following screenshot; As seen above all 4 MAs share DDBs for box Primary and Cloud and I am running out of space. We are purchasing additional drives with a higher capacity to address the problem and here is where my questions come in and would appreciate some feedback. Hi, there is a chance to change the auxcopy automatic schedule from 30 min to 15 min in commandcenter or with a script? I’m in version 11.36 and with new installations commcel console GUI isn’t available. Additionalsetting Showschedulepolicy is not a valid way.Thanks

Hi All, maybe you can give me an hint. I have an new windows server 2022 mediaagent in a remote datacenter wich is needed for auxcopy. The connection between source and destination ma is over an vpn and there are no rules aktive. When we have the windows domain firewall aktive we get a lot of chunk errors and we get errors during connecting the ddbs, i run the the AddFWExclusions script in the base folder but i think there are a lot of processes and ports missing. is there an instruction or another possibility to set all needed commvault processes and ports into the local windows firewall ?
We see that the Group Policy Object (GPO) backup feature is enabled by default on Active Directory clients. We would appreciate an explanation as to why this decision was made, particularly given that the feature appears to require an additional license for full functionality.The automatic activation of this feature has led to complications:Some environments are now reporting backup jobs as “Completed with errors” due to attempts to back up GPOs without meeting the necessary prerequisites. In cases where the customer does not wish to back up GPOs, there is no straightforward option to disable this functionality. Instead, we need to add an “Additional Setting” in the Properties. If the customer does wish to use GPO backup, they must ensure that the service account has the appropriate permissions, modify registry settings to support long paths, or create specific folders.
