Hello,
we are planning to install an Azure Stack HCI 23H2 cluster.
Does CV (11.28) currently support this version for Backup and Recovery? I find in the documentation “Azure Stack HCI version 20H2 and more recent versions”.
Thanks in advance.
Jörg

Hello Rajiv,
this means, that the Azure Resource Manager (ARM) is full supported? The question is, that AZHCI 23H2 is newly released.
Thanks in advance.
Jörg
Hello Rajiv,
could you please check it with the development? I’m currently in a workshop to 23H2 and it will be declared, that many things are changed in opposite to 22H2.
We would be sure, that we can start with the right implementation.
Thanks in advance.
With best regards,
Jörg
Hello,
I have the same ask from one of our customers and we need to confirm if Commvault 11.34.28 supports Azure Stack HCI OS 23H2 (version 25398.x) or not yet.
Your earlier reply is highly appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Hello,
here an update after my installation of two ASHCI 23h2 cluster and a long story of ticketing with the support.
The ASHCI 23H2 activate the WDAC policy in Enforce mode. This will block all installation, because the installation package is not signed.
The solution:
The backup will run.
The complete steps is find here in the MS article.
The root cause of the issue I have found on a Veeam ticket. So I think, there is a little bit to do on CV side for the complete compatibility sentence.
With best regards,
Jörg
Hello Onno,
there are mistery things. The installation of the CV Agents has caused the communication lost of the cluster itself. The access node of the cluster had problems to WMI and could not communicate to the cluster manager. This was not solve able and so I re-deployed the whole cluster.
I will check with Dell the new installation, before install the CV agent again. I have not heart from support, if the DEV team has solved the problem with the certificate of the agent, that allows a clean install, like on other backup vendors. For me it seems, is the ASHCI 23H2 support a little bit experimental.
I will check and will share my findings here.
With best regards,
Jörg
