Hello

We recently upgraded to FR26 and migrated to Index V2 for one of the clients but it is failing at archive index phase. We have below error messages in the log files:

22988 7810 04/26 23:03:37 24235865 Error while Handling ArchiveMessage: [0xECCC0016:{I2::LogManagerSvcInterface::HandleArchiveMessage(416)} + {I2::Archiver::DoArchive(3148)/ErrNo.22.(Invalid argument)-Failed to delete existing log files to generate fresh logs [0xECCC0002:{CQiDirectory::Remove(439)} + {CQiDirectory::Remove(482)/Folder=[/opt/idx/CvIdxLogs/2/4BFB3554-1CB8-4935-B6F9-A4C295E226CC/J24235865]} + {FXFile::RemoveFolder(961)/ErrNo.2.(No such file or directory)-rmdir(/opt/idx/CvIdxLogs/2/4BFB3554-1CB8-4935-B6F9-A4C295E226CC/J24235865)}]}]
22988 7810 04/26 23:03:37 24235865 static void* I2::LogManagerSvcInterface::HandleArchiveMessageStatic(void*) Archiver failed with error [0xECCC0016:{I2::LogManagerSvcInterface::HandleArchiveMessage(416)} + {I2::Archiver::DoArchive(3148)/ErrNo.22.(Invalid argument)-Failed to delete existing log files to generate fresh logs [0xECCC0002:{CQiDirectory::Remove(439)} + {CQiDirectory::Remove(482)/Folder=[/opt/idx/CvIdxLogs/2/4BFB3554-1CB8-4935-B6F9-A4C295E226CC/J24235865]} + {FXFile::RemoveFolder(961)/ErrNo.2.(No such file or directory)-rmdir(/opt/idx/CvIdxLogs/2/4BFB3554-1CB8-4935-B6F9-A4C295E226CC/J24235865)}]}]

There are couple of KB articles for VMware backups with similar error messages which mentions to:

  1. On the General tab of the Storage Policy Properties dialog box, clear the Incremental Storage Policy check box.
  2. Perform a new backup for the subclient.

This is already unchecked.

Thank you

Abdul

Good morning. It looks like you may have orphaned mounts.  Can you please stop Commvault services on the MediaAgent (be sure that SIDB2.exe stops) and then reboot the MediaAgent.  Once done please try the backup and update with the results.
