VM Auto Recovery - Design Questions

In regards to the creation of the Auto Recovery “TARGET” in Command Center for VMware-to-VMWare replication from siteA to siteB (hot site).

Customer has 1000+ VMs to add to the VM Auto Recovery.

We intent to use the “Orchestrated Recovery” option since the customer has a flat 24hr RPO for all VMs and all VMs will be configured for Hot Site Recovery. Since the customer is already backing up these VMs and there are no other RPO to meet, this seems like the correct choice.

Currently the customers data protection jobs are all managed from the CommCell Console with the legacy policies and the CommCell is running 11.32. Is it a requirement to re-associate these existing VM Groups to “Server Plans” or can they stay in the policies without loosing any functionality?

In regards to setting up the Auto Recovery “TARGET” for the hot site replication. I am assuming there would need to be at least one TARGET for each ESX target cluster. Please can somebody confirm the rational for one or multiple TARGETS to be setup?

Thanks very much in advance
