Failed to create Job History for job

HI all,

 

Has anyone seen this?

I have a VSA (failed VMs only) job that is Completed in the Job Controller, but it just stays there.

In Events it shows the same message every 10 mins; “Failed to create job history for job [xxxx]. The job will be retried.

I’ve tried recycling the services (and the SQL services) on the CS and running a DBMaint with no success.

Hi Shane,

On setup, which FR and maintenance pack level present. Please update to latest maintenance pack on respective FR as this seems to be handled there. If running into this again please a TR with CV support with complete set of logs and crash dumps of backup process if any.

Unfortunately the job persists in the controller after upgrading to 11.25.11

Not as yet, the job’s still hanging tough n the job controller.

It’s a little lower on my priority list right now, but I will get to it, thanks.

@Shane , I don’t see any case for this, so I’ll mark this as closed assuming that the subsequent backups are now working.

If that’s not the case, update this thread and I’ll unmark it 🤓

Hello,

 

I have a same issue since I tried to kill a Backup Copy job which is currently completed / w errors.

In job management , i have the samed following message : Failed to create job history 

In log i see same error :

Failed to create cvbkpjobsvr.history. Operation will be retried.

 

Do you find any workaround to solve this issue ?
