Hello,

Is there a log that collects information for emails sent that was triggered by an alert?

It seems I miss a few alert emails and need to do some forensics on why.

I have not, and i have tons of automation based on alerts, so if they broke my environment would stop backing up (i use it for power on/power off)… you dont see the logging?

 

what does alerts.log show?

The alerts.log doesen’t say so much for me. But I looked in sentalerts and at the time there was no alert sent. We have 5 occurences of this.

Since I updated the alert with just adding a “ “ into the body and that seems to have fixed the issue for atleast one alert.

It’s almost like some alerts wasn’t “activated” after the upgrade, though all show as enabled in the java gui.

Alerting the way we do it is broke after the upgrade. Opening support ticket.

@MFasulo  After hearing back from support it seems to be a known issue. However it wasn’t fixed in 11.28.24 as the first suggestion was where it should be fixed. Now I got back that it will is fixed in 11.28.30, which isn’t GA yet, just a diagnose fix.

What does that mean, diag form? 

Do I dare to install that in a production system?
