We currently write to storage units on a Data Domain over BoostFS, but are considering migrating to the new Data Domain Boost Access Library method for tighter integration.  I found this article and I’m wondering what the impact would be and if it’s even applicable to our situation considering we aren’t truly using CIFS.Converting a Data Domain Disk Library to a Data Domain Boost Access Library (commvault.com)

Anyone have experience converting a library with existing data?

How is the Dta Domain Library configured ? Using a network path ? 

 

Converting from to DD Boost Access, will only improve the performance and the existsing data will still be available.

 

Below is an example of the functionality

 


Yes, we’re currently using network path (UNC) and leveraging the ddboost client plugin for Windows)
