Hi @diephan97 .
To copy backup files from DataCenter A to DataCenter B you will use what is known as an “Auxiliary Copy”.
This involves creating a new library within the same Cell for the new storage/location - Which should be associated to at least 1 MA with access to it. Then perform an AuxCopy operation to copy the backed up data from one Storage to the other.

You cannot restore data from a Library belonging to one Cell from a different another Cell - The information stored in the CSDB is required to proceed with the recovery operation. You main priority as a backup administrator is to protect your CommServer Database at all cost (as well as the data within the library of course), since it will be required in order to perform any kind of recovery in the event of a disaster.

I am unsure to which sort of registration you are referring when mentioning “instruction for registering a new customer”. Could you provide further details of what is the end goal please?
Hi @Javier,
Thank you for the detailed response
What I mean is when I purchase a virtual machine backup license for a new system. It is a new customer who has never made a purchase before. So, I want to ask how I will register the CommCell and support ports for the new customer. Do I need to have the license before I can register? For example, if I receive the license on the 10th, can I create a portal for the customer on the 8th? I remember that in the past, the license would be downloaded from the portal
Thank you for providing further details @diephan97
Unfortunately I am unsure of the process to register a new customer and obtain the license.
The best option would be to speak to one of our sales representatives through one of the channels available in out Contact Us page;
