Hi Team,

We are not able to discovered the SAP hana tenant databases.

We have check the following things.

1. Connectivity is there between Commvault backup server and server.

2. Hostfile entries are there.

3. DB user having all the required permissions.

Good afternoon.  Are you seeing any error related to the database discovery?

Hi @Ajinkya

Could you increase the debug on ClHanaAgent to 6, rerun the discover and review the clHanaAgent.log on the SAP HANA server.

Additionally ensure the following

  1. commvault agent is installed with sapsys group, if not then run cvpkgchg -g sapsys
  2. For a test us SYSTEM user and retry discovery
  3. connect to the SAP HANA database and run the following query with the userkey used to configure  the instance
  • hdbsql -U <hdbuserstore_key> “select * from M_DATABASES”

If the issue still persists then upload the clHanaAgent.log for review.

Regards,

Gowri Shankar

Hi @Gowri Shankar & @Orazan - Thank you for replying.

The global.ini file was missing due to clearance of the file system. We have recreated the file and updated the parameter ‘mode’ to ‘multidb’. And now we can see all databases in the Commvault configuration file.

Hi @Ajinkya  Thank you for the update.
