Commvault Upgrade failed (DatabaseUpgrade.exe - Entry Point Not Found)

Hello,

we tried today to upgrade our Commvault environment from version 11.24.43 to 11.28.6. After the pre-check the installation aborts with the message "Entry Point Not Found".
I have uploaded screenshots.
Does anyone know how we can solve this problem ?

Correct - there is some mismatch between the executable and DLLs. I would certainly download a new copy of 11.28 and try again.

Hello,

Since we encountered problems with the media agents and the object storage mapped to them during the upgrade, I put the logs in a ticket. The ticket number is: 220704-170.
The problem with the aborted installation could be solved by downloading the media kit again.

Hello, in my case failure from 11.24 to 11.28, the solution from Commvault Support (Incident 230609-330) was simply to resume the upgrade from the following path:

C:\Program Files\Commvault\ContentStore\SW\CVMedia\11.0.0\SP28_4489590_R1081\Windows

In my case the problem was in SQL upgrade, so right after run setup.exe as administrator, the CommServe upgrade completed!

No need to reinstall / install CommServe from DR backup in my case!
