Hi
Do we have an object lock feature in commvault other than WORM.
We are planning to send auxiliary copies to Cloud(AWS). We are under the assumption that by enabling object lock feature on S3 bucket. The Data Aging will be interrupted or the data cannot be expired properly. Is this assumption correct? If yes, what is the other way to make the data immutable.

We do support object lock on S3, please review our documentation which covers this in detail.

Thank you

Hi Emils,

Thank you for your valuable update.

Do we have similar options for Storage devices like IBM ESS?If not, What are the possible options to make them immutable in case of a ransomware attack or similar threats?

Gokul

Are you using storage exposed from a IBM ESS which is attached to a MediaAgent acting as a disk library?

Yes, A fileset is created and its mounted on Linux Media Agents. The same fileset will be added as the disk library. We are using the Disk Library for storing the primary copy.
